My struggle with my left hip/leg/calf/foot continues on into its third month. Or is it the fourth? I’m tired of saying I’m “struggling” with this issue. I know that word tells the Universe that I’m not allowing what is and I’m definitely not accepting the pain or the lessons behind it. And from that awareness I’m moving into allowing and more trust, yet the pain and problems persist. And they’re annoying!
Today I visited the back doctor for more advice, better advice, to find the root of the problem, to find a different solution. Sadly, there wasn’t a better solution. The therapy I’m doing is what I should be doing. All the sitting I’ve done throughout my jobs, the sedentary lifestyle I lead, the lack of exercise, has all caught up with me. Movement is what the body needs. Stretching, flexing, putting the body into action. It’s not meant to be still all the time, and it’s certainly not meant to sit in a chair for long periods of time, even if that’s what the job demands.
I drove away from the doctor’s office, relieved that he hadn’t recommended surgery, but pissed off that he hadn’t granted me a miracle. And then the realization came. I knew that my situation was created over time and that it would take time to improve. The more I exercise and move my body, the better off I’ll be. And isn’t that what I want in the end? I’ve been asking Spirit for vibrant, radiant health and energy. What if all this pain and trouble was the wakeup call to get me into action? Obviously, the moderate pains I’ve had for years didn’t get me off my butt. I needed bigger pains to make me take notice. To put me on the path to more self-love and self-care. To get my body, mind, and soul in shape for the bigger role I’m playing.
How are you caring for yourself? Do you heed the nudges, voices, issues that you’re facing? Are you taking action when you need to?
You are a lightworker, here to spread your message of love and light to the masses. It’s hard to fit in exercise routines, good nutrition, plenty of sleep, work, and fun. All of them matter. Your health is of the utmost importance. If you don’t care for your Self, who will?
Pay attention to what your body is telling you. If you can’t decipher the signals, consult your doctor, your energy healer, your coach, someone you can talk to. Make sure you don’t ignore the messages. Spirit wants you to be happy and healthy. That’s your right and your privilege.
Now I’m going to do some stretching. Want to join me?
